When I arrived at the beach (about 10:00, I though what a wasted day; it was rainy & cold (7oC), only moderate NW wind. Nevertheless after a while the sun came out, the wind picked up to 6-7bft (NW-N), many people joint us. Once again (…*&^%), my wishful thinking for stormy winds made me bring only small gear; as a result I was the whole time too underpowered since the wind had as usual big lulls close to the beach. It was two hours of swimming/fitness training! cool

Today Hundreds of Greek Orthodox faithful gathered at ports around the country to celebrate Epiphany with the blessing of the waters, and many defied cold temperatures to dive into the sea and lakes to retrieve the cross, a ritual that marks the religious holiday. Let’s hope the Holy Spirit will give its blessing to all for the New Year 2013.

the forecast were very promising for today ,but the reality was cruel..

Till 1130 seems like no wind at all , i rigged 7 praying  for more wind and half an hour later the gusts were about 35 kn, way overpower,  destroing my hands , giving 2 nice runs ,but lasting less than 20 min .. (thats why my wetsuit is always on :)

Rest of the session was hard efforts to catch any decent gust even in the waves ,with no result..

We missed the rest of the speedteam (but i am sure they have catch the cross ! )
