Part of Irish Championships.

Actually a slight bit square, with the broadest section being quite short, hence slower 10 sec averages.

I'm convinced now Burrow is faster in a Northerly wind on Port tack, as the run is straighter and longer.

I agree Oisin, yesterday was square and outgoing tide vs wind made sailing away from the bank tricky (Which I found out at a cost....). The North /NNW would be better. However can't complain about the number of days the wind has blown for Burow recently!

On another note, thanks to the guys esp Dave, Rob and Steve L for helping me get back to shore with broken kit and body!

Also to Mathew and Cormac (jnr) for grabbing my gear from the beach. Am resting at home with 2 broken ribs. (despite crash vest)......

Broke the rule of making sure to get 5 reasonable runs before taking risks with shooting downwind over chop.

Cost: Damaged board, broken extension and broken ribs...end of competition for me.

Was a great day for the rest of the crew though.....

It was quite square (NNE) and Sandbar doesn;'t work perfectly in NNE. needs to be a bit more easterly or even better if it backs completely to NNW
