Tijdens het optuigen stond er zo weinig wind dat we de 7.0 overwogen, toch maar 6.2 gepakt.       Op het water meteen een hagelbui en wind. Zoveel wind (vlagen 38kn) dat ik een paar keer bijna voorover van mijn board werd afgetrokken zowel vanuit stilstand als tijdens het varen. Erik hield het  langer vol en dat zag er vanaf de kant best snel uit tussen de golven door.

It was a bit gusty :), but when I rigged it even looked like 7.0 would be small... Glad I took the 6.2, bcos the first gust the 6.2 pulled so hard forward so I  went over the handlebar, which was a long time ago I experienced to much forward pull from a sail. Rather difficult  to accelerate in 50m from 20kn boardspeed up to >35kn in a good powerfull gust. This ride kept things really exciting, hehehe

Gauke asked me if I would like to try his Futura 101, YEAH!! This board just handles these kind of gusty messy place much easier. And even the speed was higher. Used the same sail(trim)  as I used with the iSonic.

Good times, 50% of the time sun, just 2 times a bit hail. And I also got a bit wiser, A big board can be a bit to much on short courses with strong gusts and chop downwind ;)
