SHQ Windfestival this weekend. Not a lot of wind but plenty of fun. I didn't wear the GPS during the races (forgot to bring it down) but went back later after high tide for some fun. Spotty said he thought he had a decent 1hr so I went for it to back him up and did a few Alphas in the first few minutes.I felt like I cougt some weed about 2/3rds of the way though as my peak speeds down the bank droped off by about 3 knots. Didn't want to stop to clear it though so sailed on. At the end I backed up the board after the last Gybe and run down again. Yep, up 3-4 knots again. Must have been a few threads of ribbon weed on the fin which is quite unusual for this fin which normall sheeds weed really well and performs very well indeed.
