Not the day I expected to have.... Wind was supposed to be south, which it was. But the forecast was rising knots, so from 14-15 upto 18-20 during the day. I started with 8.5 and SL1 140 (81cm). First leg, perfect, second leg, way to big, third leg not sailable any longer, so I went back for smaller stuff. So far so good, forecast did not lie..

On the shore Alex just arrived, and we decided to do Den Osse. First run there was perfect, good push, beautiful loose board, and whoopa above 60, so I was stocked. But after that the wind started to shift, got realy gusty, and eventually disappaered. Alex just made in back in time, but I was caught in lulls with virtually no wind.... So it became a real struggle to get back to shore. When I did, I was about 800m from where the cars where parked, so I had a long walk to do with the gear. Lucky for me, Alex saw me struggling, and he picked me up with his van, thanks again, mate !

So not a very satisfying day, apart from the first run. The old Manta flies, and is really capable of superb speeds.

Beter iets dan niets!!!
