Nice day with a LOT of speedies!!

Na lang geaarzel besloten naar het Amstelmeer te gaan. Telefoontje van Peter, we gaan toch met de boot. Mijn kleinste board wat ik mee naar het Ameer was de PD. Deze hield het goed met de 5.6, viel me alles mee.

vandaag geheel onverwacht een aantal pr's gevaren.

Ik stond met een 6.2, wat aan de grote kant.

in het begin geen controle, wat ik ook probeerde met zeil/giek en mastvoet.

Toen uiteindelijk 45 min. voor einde sessie de voetbanden naar voren gezet.

hierna gelijk meer snelheid, lekker dag uiteindelijk.

Verkeerde mast mee, volgende keer beter,

De toppers deden het weer goed, lekkere sessie met veel speedies

U kent die mop van de boot die niet ging? ;-)

Mijn 5.0 had nu lang genoeg ongebruikt in de kar gelegen, tijd om deze uit het plastic te halen. Iets aan de kleine kant, maar setting meteen ok. In het begin was het een beetje choppie wat me niet echt lag. Later kwam er meer controle en (dus) meer plezier. En toen kwamen de tijden...een nieuw PR! 71.5. Mooi.

Erik jij ook gefeliciteerd, en Gauke op 't grootste board van de dag ook heel goed gevaren.

Very nice trip, first time. Jurjen arranged the boat trip with the WADDENEXPLORER, very nice. We got stuck on a sandbar but after spilling some energy we could go on with the boattrip.

The water level was still a bit high at da curve and this made the course for me a bit strange, all the time the course was changing and I was unable to setle down and push the speed button. I had heeps of pressure on my back leg and it was burning like .... besides that I could not use my back arm to give some speed...strange why...I don't know.

At the end I followed Hans Kreisel and made direct a top run......oeps

Could have done better. But this is absolutely not important at all, the trip was amazing, good fun, with relaxed speedies in the boat,  it was worth it!!! A great sport!

At the end we almost took over Jaques and Hans with the WADDENEXPLORER, this boat is amzing we where doing 74 km/h on the way back....and yes I filtered these runs out (was a great nautical)!

I think it is a great boat for a NK speed contest next year.

Top dagje! Heb heerlijk gevaren. Boardje ging geweldig.

Een mooie belevenis met de super RIB. Volgende keer met m'n eigen badkuipke ;-).

@Dylan, Lijkt me niet dat je NK speed kan houden op een plaats die niet voor iedereen toegankelijk is?

Wat een prachtige dag (voor de meesten, maar daar later meer over). Als de richting iets beter was geweest een PR dag.

Met de waddenexplorer zijn we met 8 man op pad gegaan. Team pryde en de wadjes waren er ook. Al met al behoorlijk druk omdat door de hoge waterstand maar een klein deel van de baan bevaarbaar was.

Een geweldige ervaring, die zeker voor herhaling vatbaar is!

Helaas kon ik de trim niet helemaal voor elkaar krijgen van mijn 5.6. Alleen in de hardste vlagen voelde het goed.

Ingolf maakte in zijn laatste run nog een nare smakker en brak daarmee zijn schouder. Knap dat hij, zonder zijn gezicht te vertrekken, nog een zwempoging ondernam om zijn zeil uit het wat te vissen. Gelukkig was de reddingsbrigade, (team pryde) snel ter plekke.

square midwind session and my boom was really painfull ;) hopefully next time people sail upwind more off the course instead of on the course if everyone does this ur own speeds will go down!!! Really happy with my 2sec nice to see Jacq is getting back in business congrats with the day victory 

Na een hele avond heen en weer telefoneren, dus toch de keus gemaakt om naar Da Curve

te gaan. En het was een goede keuze, al was de wind iets te half. Heb mij niet laten afschieten dit was mij te link! . Met links voor vaar ik niet zo makkelijk los, nog maar eens vaker oefenen.

Onze taxi er heen was ook niet verkeerd, Bootje met 2 keer 240 pk PFFFF

Super dagje met veel speeders.

What a great spot this is. For sure World Record potential with the right strength and direction. I couldn't keep up with the boys and this was super frustrating. I chickened out on the slingshotting that was done by the others as I was afraid I would dislocate my arm again. My leg doesn;t bother me anymore but now my arm is getting worse again. I could hardly move it and had to bend it. this totally affected my style. I have got good hopes though I will be fast when it;'s broader as the stance is completely different. In those conditions I can stretch my arm more sideways and in that direction it does what I want it to do.... In hindsight I am happy I didn't bear off into the chop, but on the water I could hardly stand it as I had to sail with my brains (hopefully I've got some left....) and couldn't sail with my heart. I have to stay calm and prepare for the day and don't risk too much.  but on days like this that's difficult. Obviously it remains to be seen if I stand a chance against Jaques and Hans when the day comes, but I won;'t give in too easily. I am happy with my basic speeds alongside the bank and that's a reassuring feel.

Jurjen, many thanks for arranging the boat and skipper, thanks for the fun ride back. 75km over the chop, water in your eyes and 8 guys stoked about a super nice day on one of the World best spots. All in all it was a great adventure and I hope to be back soon.

Prachtige dag helaas zonder pr's. Zat niet in m'n comfort zone.. te heftige omstandigheden voor nieuw board en nieuw zeil. Met als toetje een te harde crash met dik 60.
