Short morning session as had to get home for 12.00 to look after Ben, local speedie Steve hit water first then myselft followed by Crossy. SW wind with some big gusts, could have been on a 5.2 but would have been under powered at times. Port tack down the wall but fairly square. If you mangaged to get back upwind to the top corner of the wall you could get some good Starboard runs down to the Sailing club. Was tring to bear off in the gust and keep the speed up as going back and forth was not producing the speeds on a square course, but stuggled a little to keep up wind.

First time out on the F1 Falcon 22 SS and the board felt as if it was going sideways at first, but once I'd had a few runs it felt better and the board was traveling straight. Off the wind it was GREAT, across the wind it sometimes let go but with a little more MFP and pull on the back foot it soon grabed.
Going back upwind was GOOD if the gusts were coming through, but if not over powered it didn't point that high.

A good session

A gusty day at West Kirby and my first outing in some wind with the GPS other than on my raceboard.

I could see myself getting into this speed sailing lark especially if I could get my hands on some slalom or a speed board
