well it wasn't perfect and we were a little unlucky . The wind was south west and this is the best direction and it was good 2 hours before low tide but as soon as the tide came any were near low enough it started turning to west and the course became choppy and almost dead downwind . Lucky that I got these speeds out and lucky that I followed jacques out early so we could sail with at least the good direction but wrong tide.
better luck next time , it could be amazing if that wind is in the right angle .Just one more thing  I HATE MUD !!!
Looked very promising in the beginning, i made a 83,5 and 82,59 run 2 hours before low tide. From experience the course gets faster around low tide, so this looked like record conditions.
Made a mistak to get a drink and some food at the beach as i didn't wanted to waste my energy. After this the wind shifted to WZW and it was done! But next time better, once everything will be perfect and we will sail records here. Surprised to see Da Curve was not ok with WZW, i bought a waterscooter especially for these conditions. But this weekend i had already some fun cruising around with friend on this machine. I will download a headcam youtube video of my 83,5 run with 85,21 topseed later. On the video you can see how smooth this run was and this was for sure not the limit as i was not even powered up and sailing against the current. At least we scored one more point for the team challenge, 2 seconds topspeed.
Jacques, the problem at da curve was, the wind was swinging totally west and with 45 knots, the water was coming in, only -40 at low tide, with wzw and -80 it must be perfect.

Was at least 30min to late, did the mud walk (whit injured foot, not a good idea) the wind shifted when I was walking.
Waited for a while then started the walk back, this almost killed me!
Will be a while before I do the walk again!

for the numbers could have been so good today ;(((((((( never seen so much wind at the brace
What can I say... Could have been so good. The 4.6 was a great choice, the Strike 20 worked incredible, and I was sailing relaxed even though the wind was howling.

Man, if the angle wouldn't have changed, and the water would have gone down, I think we would be looking at averages around 85 at least. Maybe 76 or something for me.

The walk back was pure hell, 8 bft smacking the sail to the ground constantly. Wat a shame, today!
Helaas draaide de wind te snel naar west, ik mis twee runs voor een redelijk gemiddelde.
Hi Jan!

Great to hear you are so happy with the C3 Strike 20..! Told you so...

Cheers,

Serge

We're getting some audiovisual material too! I think Ben / Jacques made some videos, and Michel made some pictures? Curious for them!

@ Serge

The fin performed great today. Can't wait to try it in good conditions. It felt so easy and safe today. And really fast while it was really choppy and a too broad angle. Maybe I'll need a 18 too ;)

The wind shifted too fast to west, unfortunately had only 2 decent runs.

Good work Ben, Jaques and Hans!
