3rd day in a row. Really windy 1st thing, consistent >40kts, broad and abit choppy. First run smash a 44.78kt 10s but go over the front at the end of the run. Managed to re-tweak my right shoulder which is fine but dented my confidence alittle.

I kept pushing to beat yesterdays 43Av but the runs kept getting slower, i needed 1 more run with minimum 42.5 10s, so got 3kg more lead off MH (taking the jacket to 14kg) but could only do 41kt 10s as the wind had gone squarer and eased.

Cudos to Mike for sailing fast with control.

Kit: SD40, 20cm Z assy, 4.8evoxi, 11kg lead.

I forget to say... congrats to everyone who broke 40 knots for the the first time today.

Great to see so many people breaking that barrier!

The main goal for the day was a decent 500m.

I tried three in total which were all faster than my previous PB - 41.86, 41.50 and 40.61

Some minor improvements in other categories - 10s, 250m and 5x10s.

Congrats to David on his 10s and 250m.

After agitating my ruptured patella tendon in my right knee during Wednesdays light wind speed session, I couldn't do yesterdays high wind PB day, was gutted. So I spent most of last night icing my knee hoping I could at least get a few runs in today. So being cautious, I opted to do the lighter wind part of the day, and used my old and slower SB W44 wood construction because I thought it would be more gentle on my knee. When I arrived, Mike G and Dave W had just finished their battle for the days top spot, they both got some nice numbers. So even though I used my slow board, and took it easy in the lighter winds, it unintentionally ended up being my 4th fastest session ever, so it was actually a pretty good considering everything. Was fun.

A great day on the lake.  A  few of the regular guys out, good to see Gary Goodwin , hopefully see him on the water soon.  Danny and Bob cartridge out again, hopefully no breakages today. Good to meet Adrian Brazier too and a collect the jp pro 45. Looking forward to giving that a blast.

I didn't get comfortable with my setup for about an hour,  but it eventually clicked and I started getting some runs close to my best. By late morning,  I was getting the hang of it. Breaking my 2sec and 10sec times by quite a margin. Returned home tired but happy ??

Great to be at West Kirby with a good group. Good wind. Using a new Asymetric fin, new PBs all round! A fun day.

I was going to come up wednsday but work got in the way, almost came up thursday but took a punt on Friday and glad i did. Took me a while to set up as not feeling the need for speed. thought third cam had snapped in 5.2 as the cam adjuster had popped open and when i was putting cam on mast it made a bad noise, think it was the cam sliding in its sleeve, also decided to test new dive case from insta today.  Oddely it let in water and sand and so glad I taped the case as the clips came unclipped.  Missed the early high wind in morning. not been speed sailing for so long i lost my mojo and was tentitive weather to even rig up but forced mysef to as just sanded my 21 only one in existance F-hot top and Z Fin hybred. Started off in the lulls to get back into feeling comfortable 35knots then slowly getting faster on every run. last two runs were the best as 42.6 knots peak showing on watch and had to stop as felt front arm tiring and shame as every had finished leaving just me and a lad on wave board and he also came off water so though i should quit while ahead. shame as just getting dialed in and comfortable and could have gone faster which is exiting prospect for future. Also relized whats been holding me back as many small but valuable leasons learnt today and wind was strenthing again and 43 or 45 knots. Nice to see so many speed sailers out as somone on Kirby site said speed sailing is dead lol.  Im back and also is my Mo JO :):):):)

PS. Was rushing doing 5 things at once and in my hast pressed wrong buttons on WATCH and deleted to screen details, had a moment of complete dread but thankfull the watch still had saved the data, phew. wonder if anyone else has doine this lol
