Waterlevel with low tide, was way higher than usual, caused by the storm-surge.

We only had a short time before the sandbar would submerge and our flatwater speedlagoon would disappear. Windforcast was 7-9 Bft  increasing. Started with EVO 2  6.2m2,  later changed over to EVO 2 5.1m2. 

Very first run topped 77km/h ! But no good control. after a second run re-rigged to 5.1m2, but the sea. state/ chop increased rapidly.

In the end a crash and not capable to swim to my gear wich was blown away and drifted faster than my swim capacity.

Luckily this was IN the lagoon, gear drifted ashore  and I made it easily to shoreside (complete with 8kg weightvest). Combination of Buoyancy vest  AND Weightvest works well except swimming an Olympic record is not possible !

We better had started 1 or 2 hours earlier on this spot with this circumstances.
