First sail for 2010, yippee. WNW 10k to 20k, the wind was usually at the lower end. So it was either all or nothing, pumping when under powered or nicely powered up. Used an iSonic 144, 51cm fin and a 9m Warp. Sailed with Peter, Paul and Mark. This Marks first sail since snapping his acilies tendon. Soon got used to the cold and the sun even came out to top up the tan:)

Nice afternoons sail.
My first time out on the water in over 6 months due to a nasty injury - snapped achilles tendon - ouch ! In a way it couldn't have happened at a better time as we've had hardly any wind over winter so at least I've not been sat at home watching the trees bend :-)

Anyway one operation later, lots of physio, rehab and gym work sees me back at the lake, nervous but with ideal conditions (light / moderate WNW) for my first venture back out. After a 5 min jog to warm up and some stretching I eventually get the nerve to launch. Sail out the wall, gybe and hey - my tendon is still intact ! Spend the first hour just cruising from the car park out to the wall and then as the wind goes more Westerly and my confidence increase I lock it down and go for a run down the wall - superb !

Another hour of flying down the wall and my wife reminds me of the physio's last words "take it easy and don't overdo it on your first time out" so I decide to call it a day and finish the day on a real high.

Thanks to the wife, son Jack all the speedies out that day (Mark, Pete & Paul) for their support & encouragement (I really was cra**ing myself) - see y'all out there next time :-) :-) :-)
