Sat in the van with Pete C like two naughty boys waiting for the Park security guard to bugger off. 8pm and he finally left. We rigged up a 7.8m/W53 and got on the water around 8.20. Not sure what the wind strength was as we were in a real hurry as the light was fading, I'd guess it was a gusty 15k to 25k??? Under powered one minute then over powered the next. One thing for sure is the 7.8 is just a bit to big for the W53, do-able, but no real advantage over a slalom board. Might have to get a 7.3m!! Speeds were not brill, but we had a first class sail. We stayed out till 9.30ish. Sailing in the dark is great fun. Will defo do this again, but with decent lights.

Great sailing
