I made a last minute decision at midnight to do a Lake George day trip, packed by 12:30, up at 5 for the 4.5Hr drive. I was pretty sure there would be some S.A boys there - lo and behold we all converged on the 3-mile turnoff at the same time.  We decided to sail off of 3-mile as it was meant to change more westerly as the day progressed.

It looked solid 25 so I headed out on my confy gear to have a cruise and maybe do an hour if it hung in there.  I explored around the Islands and then found a nice line for the hour and went about getting in the zone.  Conditions were fantastic for cruising back and forth, not super fast on the 112L board but super fun.  I did 85km non stop but fluffed a few gybes and got off a few times to clear weed which probably cost me a 25 hour.  I headed in before the change for a snack and to get the small gear ready - good timing too as it hit about a half hour later with a few guys stuck out on big gear.

I went out on the speed gear but struggled to keep on the plane in the gusty shifty winds(& weed) so went back and plugged 5m in the 112 and did one run.  Probably would have been better to have kept up the 6.1 but I packed it up so it didn't blow away in the squalls.

It was great to catch up with Hamma, Sam, Carl & Tricky and to meet Hoppy for a fun day on the water - just like old times!
