1st time at a first-class speedspot like this, it is unlike anything I have ever experienced back in comparably choppy Swedish waters, and I was extatic just to be there.

The water state right by the Plage de la Vielle Nouvelle was as flat as a pancake that day, combined with a force 7-8 Tramontane off-shore wind.

The speedstrip and the sandy shoreline along with it, stretched out some 4 or 5 km, allowing pit stops for resting and tuning really anywhere you wanted. Far from crowdy, maybe 10 surfers or less in the water and even fewer on the beach as it was simply too windy.

Sounds perfect? Well, the angle was not, so I had to bear off during strong gusts, away from the comfort of the shoreline for short 15 secs bursts in order to get some good runs.

Never mind, as I improved every single one of my PR's. Truly a day to remember!
