Today it didn't feel fast. Subjectively there was a lot of wind. Basically everyone I talked t felt the same. The data on http://www.meteozeewolde.nl/ showed something diferent. The N-NW wind seems to stir up the watersurface a little more making it more technical and challenging.

The Stealth reacts a bit like an old Porsche with a turbo lag. Once it hits you are being catapulted, before that it feels as if there's no spirit. But when it's fully lit the Stealth '06 is the most comfortable sail I've ever sailed. I lke that aspect a lot. Comfort allows you to focus on other things, like the watersurface.

Sander and Robert were unlucky to tear up their gear, but lucky they weren't severely injured.

Please make sure you build up your runs when you are entering unknown speeds. First feel how the board/fin/rig components react and then slowly increase speed. Next time someone might not be as lucky. Both had a severe spin-out. When you get one at high speed on relatively flat water it's important to try and push your back foot and try to free the leeward rail making it impossile to bite (especially on wider boards). The board will slide away from your body making it possible to oversheet your sail, sit deeper and decrease speed. This is a better solution than standing up and opening up your sail since this will probably result in a crash in which your body messes up the whole rig.
