Forecast today was for 35 deg and moderate northerlies, cruised around to Nth Lake where the northerlies are always alot stronger than forecast, when I got there it was very patchy so I rigged my biggest sail Racing Blade 6.3(sold my 7-7.8 make way for new models) and decided to try it out on my 131 Falcon out of pure necessity. Slogged out and met my first gust...it was a biggy good 25+ knts the board reared skyward my front foot came out and somehow I managed to regain control and push it down wind the 131 took off and settled nicely, run felt fast but on a big board all runs feel fast, checked out my gps's and stoked to see 37.28 on both.Got in heap of runs but never got a gust as strong as the first, the 6.3 Blade is by far the easiest sail to use that I have ever owned it's dumb proof, water was super smooth an advantage of using a 131 litre board I could sail up close to the shore even though it was gustier there the extra volume kept me cruising.
Falcon 131 38cm Talon Racing Blade 6.3 Lake Bonney 10-25knts. got some vid which shows just how sweet it was, put it on after.
