Looking for clues the whole day. This year I didn't find the needed time to train in light wind and tune my gear. Sander, Barry and Dirk have been training hard and it shows. GREAT! This placed me in the unusual but fun position of being the hunter and not the hunted at my local beach, which was kind of fun.

I wanted to test the new light wind machine but had a hard time finding the right trim.
At the end of the afternoon I found the most important clue: the fin length. I swapped the Z38 against the Z42 and that did the trick. Unluckily after two runs my boom broke in a crash. After walking back the wind died, so I didn't pull in enough runs to overtake Sander. I'm not sure if I would have succeeded though. Sander was flying. He improved his light wind style a lot and will be a fierce competitor in the next USM for sure if the wind stays pretty light. It's truly great to see how the overall level is rising!
