Great to see so many speedies present. In total 73 entries and knowing that some had to work on Saturday not being able to attend the race. (Better luck next time Rob, hope you can join in as well).

To me personally it was litterally a day cut in half. I bruized my ribs in a severe crash two weeks ago and at the first go out I ad a severe crash again landing full on my back at 70km topspeed tearing up my harness. After Roger lend me a spare (thanks Roger) I found out I couldn't hold on to the bigger sails and boards needed for the conditions. I tried frantically but didn't succeed in getting over 60km while others were reporting speeds in excess of 70km...very frustrating. I simply couldn't find a relaxed stance in which I didn't feel to much pain.

I decided to take a smaller sail and board because the strain on my body was less. On Friday I had noticed the same. I had to find a set-up to avoid too much strain and this seemed to be it. The wind was getting less and I still felt very bad. I was thinking about giving up when a nice gust hit so I could feel I was at least able to hold on to the set in a proper way. After two hours my body loosened up a little and some other nice gusts hit. In the end that sort of saved my day but I really don't feel I deserve to be on top of Peter and Gerlof because they were flying the whole day.
