Edit: FMX 94

Three sessions in one. Helping out my good friend Renske Beets-Andringa, having a sail on the FMX94 with the MS (Michi Still)32 fin which turned out to be a great combo. I can understand why these fins are gaining in reputation to be fast under larger boards. It's really easy to fly the board and trim stays super neutral at speed. More to follow.

We went back to the beach early and discussed the sails. Robert suggested to rig the 5.5. and I thought, what the heck, I just give it a spin. It was 100% 7-7.7. weather and I thought I'd be happy if would get it going on the F80 and the trusted Tribal MK2 27. To my surprise the set was simply flying. The waterstate was more calm as many riders had vanished but windstats show the wind even decreased a little. I still can't get my head around what happened. If this is a prelude to the months to come in the seagrass season it will become a fun season as magician Art Szpunar, S2 sailmaker created a foil that is slowly but steadily getting beyond belief. Yesterday I already was amazed but this simply beats everything. 

Tip for Venom riders: don't overdownhaul the sail. Slalomriders can use longer masts and a tad more outhaul compared to last year. Leech flutter should be minimal and only in the upper panel. If trimmed like that the sail has got great grunt power and massive drive cross-upwind without giving in on downwind. As for speedsettings I am still finding out.
