Jens, well done mate!

Old school never dies. I took a small board in offshore conditions and had to pay for it :-). Great to remember and feel how we were sailing "back then". I am finding the groove again and yesterday was pure delight.

Beautiful light, sunny with mild clouds shimmering against the watersurface. Looking for gusts in super low sections and then the need to bear off within metrs in order to keep the gust.

When seeing the direction I knew: low downhaul, lots of negative to increase forward pull of the Venom. The sails are so incredibly versatile for lighter riders. Next time I am taking the 5.6 again in these conditions. It's just so much fun to race old school style and the sails are made for riders like me. I totally dislike the rope pulling contest now going on and decided to turn things around. Luckily Art and Bary listen carefully and Art is in a league of his own when it comes down to softness, handling, control and playfulness. Sorry for raving but when a man deserves big time credits I feel I am allowed to do so.

Art is no sailmaker. He is a magician at work. Sailing his designs make me feel humble and in awe abut the potential of future sailcraftsmenship. the same goes for the MK2. It flexes totally different compared to the wide tip fins which are more suitable for wider body style sailing. And as for speeed, well the fins do stay neutral evertime whereas with a wide based tip fin I am being pulled out of the water and have to correct my stance.

It's the symbiosys of all elements, core, arms, legs, hand and head position in combination with the sail, and boardtrim trhough the fin that makes me wonder everytime again on a beautiful day like yesterday, just how special our little sport is. Thank you all for the fun shared between everyone hooked to this game. I am a littlebit sentimental here, but I hope this is recieved well...
