Chris Lockwood is a genius. Messy conditions....truly messy conditions and nothing like speedboard conditions 100% sure. Still, I had the fun of my life on my "new" CA44.

Peter, Chris and I are thinking about Tribal Boards and what's better than try and test the Guru's designs. I found a Mistral and now I have a magic bullet (thanks a lot Patrick...yiiihhaaaarrrr...).

At a given moment when I felt totally secure I found myself closing my eayes and relax at over 70km/h over full chop. I just wanted to feel the boards behaviour. It's something I do regularly when saling but definitely not on a speedboard in these conditions haha. It shows just how relaxed all felt. It might sound strange but all of a sudden all fell in place and some of the rides started to feel similar to my "golden era"around 2006 when I was breaking 50 as the first sailor in the world. Back then at West Kirby a gale felt like a summerbreeze. It's nice to be truly gettting in the zone again.

My fastest run was set in the chop as was my topspeed and 500 (EDIT...THE FASTEST 500 AT THE DAM, 2 TENTHS FASTET THAN THE OPEN WATER 500).  The third fastest run was set at the dam. Average speed deducting the dam session 67.9km/h.

Sander had a few magic ones at the dam and I notice he has split his track. Thanks for being honest. I had so much fun on the chop that I "forgot" to go there. When I got there Sander had an ultra gust and I saw him fly in style.

The Venom for sure was a huge help to drive the board over the chop. This years sails are simply magic. The 2018 and 2019 were good already but it's very clear Art and Barry have listened to Serge's and my pleads (not trying to take anything from the masters genius here, just happy the adjustments for normal weight riders work).
