Full day training slalom at the TWS centre. Absolutely punished and I was only there for 1 day. The guys have another session today, whilst I can barely walk!

Very interesting testing. The top group I would say is similar level to a semi final at the PWA, whilst group 2 is maybe like the first round PWA, so its great to see where you are really at. For me its perfect to really see how the sails are performing around the race course. You can test speed all day, but when you put a sail in a real racing environment things often become much clearer instantly. How the sails accelerate out the gybe, how they perform in dirty air off the start line etc etc.

I was defintley a bit of the pace in the top group. For those interested my 10 sec speeds were just under 30kts around the course and I would say I was missing around 0.5-1 kt of board speed to be really in the mix. The few really good runs I had down the 1st reach I was hitting max speeds of around 31, and that seemed to be close to where they were, but I couldn't maintain it so consistently like them.

Now I want to make a few small tweaks to the sails and then hopefully I can get back over there and try again!
