Prasonisi - Day 7.

We arrived at the beach to be greeted by light winds again. With an expectation of stronger winds on our final day, we waited for about an hour before deciding it was another day on big kit. The first 2.5 hours of sailing were much the same as previous days but I had some fun racing some of the faster boys on the water.

It was now about midday and the wind started to fill in to the point where I was nicely powered on the 105 + 7.8. I tried to a few speed runs down the beach but gave up because the water was too busy and I couldn't sail a good line. There were lots of beginner kiters launching, landing and crashing where I wanted to slingshot down the beach and it was just too dangerous. In the end, I decided to avoid the flat water and headed out to sea for some slalom practice.

Being our last day in Prasonisi and having a plane to catch later, I had to be off the water at 16:00. Finally at 15:54, I had my first 30 knot 10s run of the holiday, followed by 15:57 and 15:59. Jo was nowhere to be seen so I quickly did another two runs - 16:02 and 16:04. Look how consistent the times were during those ten minutes! Nice to get a 30 knot session before leaving.

It was really quite windy by this time and the 7.0m + 90L would have been pretty fast, I think. I just didn't have time to rig + de-rig + pack another set of kit so I made the best of the 105L + 7.8m.

Great holiday... Prasonisi delivered sailable wind on all 7 days and Jo's gybes have come on a lot. :)
