Started later in the afternoon hoping the wind would be less strong. Still had problems staying in control. After a while I got the hang of it and made some short runs. But not to far into the chop. Had a display speed of 80,20km in the end. Small PB on max speed. Second best on 5x10 AVG. So very happy. 

yes, finally I managed to surf properly on Franqui; max run 10 seconds; 75.95 en 77.56 max display on the Mistral speed 55 and the Severne Relex 5 6.2.

I saw many people take pictures yestersay and today, is it possible I see/can get the pictues, are the available on Facebook, dropbox?

Tomorrow last day; lets hope for the same beautiful day as today!

La Franqui, dag 7. Vanochtend vroeg uitgechecked bij de camping en om 9:30 op het strand aangekomen. Door schade en schande wijs geworden maar vroeg het water op gegaan (dan staat er het minste wind  ). Water was zeer choppy en een goede run maken was voor mij onmogelijk. Alles op ruime koers gevaren. Rond 11:30 werd er weer 50 knopen wind gemeten en was de energie op. Net genoeg tijd om 5 runs en een nautical mile te maken. Weer een kleine verbetering van de nautical. Om 12:30 op weg gegaan, terug naar Nederland.

Yet another good day at la franqui, conditions was a bit tricky with the chop and rolling swell and very gusty.. i just started to get some good speeds but then the wind dropped so just managed to miss out on a 40 kn average. last day here tomorrow so going to hit the water at first light to try and get a good session before we return to the uk..  

sail was evo6 5.4. big hole in gps pouch stopped my sesh a bit early. last day tomorrow, been a great trip.

Quite choppy today, wind was a little bit up and down in the end, but I managed to improve my PB.

Hope to break the 40 knots average barrier next time.

Dag 3...

Als eerste aan het water in de hoop dat er nog een ochtend luuwte zou zijn.... nee dus.. :)

De baan was ruim en vreselijk ruuw met wind chop, medium chop uit een andere hoek en omslaande dijning... Het was geen varen... na 2 runs terug naar de kant en afwachten.

Dat was de goede keus... na 1,5 uur draaide de wind iets haakser op de baan en vlakte wat uit. Alleen de dijning bleef nog over met een mooi vlakke baan... en natuurlijk een knal harde wind van 50kn+...YEAHHHH

Het plaatje klopte helmaal, de set, het vertrouwen, de conditie en de locatie ...WOW... De dikke runs rolde dan ook een voor een binnen.

PRen al om :

• 5x10sec
• 100m
• 250 m

De 500m was 0.05  te traag voor een verbetering... tja, je kan niet alles hebben :)

Het was een geweldige trip met veel bekende gezichten. Dames en heren Speeders bedankt voor de top dagen...

Time to take my smallest sail today, an "old" 5.1m.

Nice sailingday with lot of friends from Holland, France, Britain and Belgium of course with our new "champ" Vincent. Well done mate !

I'm happy with a mile of 70 km/h today, nice to beat Koen and Gino again ;-)

The JP45 is an amazing board, found a new love !

2 de keer op de jp45 zalig boardje de combo was gewoon super.

zalige spot warm en goeie wind ben zeer te vreden over mijn eerste trip naar LF bedankt tom en dirk hiervoor. 

deze snel heden had ik nooit durven denken zeker niet voor de eerste keer mega blij er zullen zeker nog tripjes volgen :p

After waiting one and a half day for a bit less wind, I could sail a more easy session without any risk. But it was worth the waiting. Hopefully I can push it a bit harder the next time.

It was another great trip to this wonderfull spot with many familiar (international) faces and a great atmosphere on and off the water.

Vince, congratulations again with your astonishing PB.

From now on we call you "green steel"
