Yes! PB time again! And best of all: on home turf!

Took the day off to be able to sail on the Poepegat, which was somewhat of a gamble considering the wind direction, timing of the wind and the uncertainty of the low tide. The wind turned out quite square and the tide remained pretty high, but the wind strength was very good. Even though I still can't get the most out of these wind strenghts yet, they don't give me any trouble either. Big like.

When the tide was still dropping, the speeds were laughable and there was big rolling chop in the course. However, when the tide had changed speeds went up very fast. The first ones were set by slingshotting into the chop but after a few scary near-crashes I decided I valued life (and my kit) more, so stayed near the bank from then on. Towards the end speeds gradually increased there as well, so I managed to squeeze out a small PB.

All in all an awesome session with a very nice group. Jurjen was flying again today and was putting in some last minute practice for Luderitz. I hope you and DJ will do even better over there!

Fin and sail testing day. Thank y ou Ferdinand, for bringing my 5.3 Refelx proto. My fastest runs were set by the 5.6 RDM. Thank you Dylan for the Shim and thank you Hans for the weather predictions. Last but certainly not least, thank you Oane for borrowing your GPS!!!

Last minute decision to go to Poepegat.

Wath a damm long walk, aaarrrggh. The runs where hard today, the acceleration was fine. In the beginning I had a run of 70.3 with a max of 80,2.

It was heavy and I am broken now. I had a squash meeting in Groningen tonight with our work. I was lucky I had to do only two matches....

Grongrats Oane and Hendrixs good work!!!!
