It was almost awesome when Hurricaine Katrina visited us....

But in the end, despite the foreast, she decided to blow westerly with a touch of SW, instead of SW, with a touch of Westerly.
Sounds like nothing, but makes all the difference in Dungarvan... and the course ends up just too broad, and also too choppy from the wind coming down the course instead of off the beach.

It did go flatter later on, and a few decent gusts carried me the whole way down the course, but reaalllly broad and never really settled in the chop.

At least I got to tune up my 5.5 in 40 knots, and tested out more lead in the weight jacket (16kgs I think).
Also stoked with my K4fins / Moo assy, can't wait to get it out in better stuff.  Just glides so easy, makes the board feel completely different to when using the Tectonics.

Anyway, as they say:  If you don't go, you won't know!
Still can't complain though... sunny, 19 degrees, short suits and blasting around in 40 knots.  Not so bad for a Monday.
