Lake George, SA

A fine day on the lake! :-)

Just the Jordans and the Hansens at Cockies and Dezza at the 5 mile left!

A lovely sunny day with 18-22 knots of wind. Great for just blasting around on the small slalom board and 5.7m. I cpuld pull 30-31 beam reaching and 34 10-15 off the wind, but just went slower if I tried to go broader. Except in a few, rare nice gusts. It was still tight and lots of fin pressure though. I went faster with the sail pulled flattest. Today we needed a blade to slice thrugh the wind, not a spinniker to run with it.

The lake is quite a bit lower now after 5 days of SSE wind, so there is a few more flatter possibilities opening up, like the area just upwind of cockie where I tried a few alphas. Got a 27 at 60m and only missed the circle by a meter or so, but thats as good as a mile.

But some of the best speed runs were in that area where ther is a bit more wind.

A fun day!
