underpowered but managed to hook into some nice gusts.
Missed the early morning session and had to do with some short sharp licks which kept getting weaker and weaker.

As a result the water was super smooth and got in a very good downwind run which did not feel fast bur posted some new pbs for 100, 250 and 500 m runs.

The word is that pumping of water into the Goolwa basin will start this week so we are goin to lose our speed runs. Bugger

Drove over the hill on Grundys rd to see everyone blasting so I got some footage with the tripod, still a little shaky though with the gusts coming through.  I could see Sam on a 6.2 so I rigged 6.7 and took the 90 and 104 out.  When I returned to get the sail the wind dropped out so I rigged the 7.8 and took it out with the 134 to guarantee a sail.  Hit the water the same time as Norm and Dave and we had a bit of wind for a while and then it started getting real patchy with distinct wind zones you had to stay in.

A few 20 knot gusts came through and it was quite hairy at times on the 84cm board and 47cm fin, more of a slalom setup and I am a little rusty at balancing big fin lift.  Very happy with a pb on the big board of 34.13.  My 9.5 arrives soon so I am looking forward to even the light summer breezes. Had a short stint on the 104 when I got some head cam footage.

Maybe the last sail at Clayton channelCry.  1 last ditch to try and ride the isonic 50 speed board at clayton and do a nautical mile - but it didn't happen like plannedYell.  Early start after big night out and no wind on arrival.  It gave me time to take 2 boards and sail the 500m hike to the water's edge - i wont be missing this walk!!!!  I decided to rig the 5.8 so i could put it on the speed board and i was also hanging to try the 24cm c3 venom when it picked up - yeah right - should have rigged 6.6.  The wind was mainly 10 - 15 knots with the odd 18 knot gust - along with alot of 5 knot lulls.  Not the greatest day out and certainly not the way we all want to remember the clayton channel.  At least we did get a ride.  It was great to catch up with the crew and have a laugh over some beers and Tim has got some photo's and video.

One of the hightlights of the day was when Sam and me hoped on our boards and soon realised we hadn't put our harnesses on.  That would be okay but our car's were parked 1 km walk away - DOH!
