It is time to announce the official “Lithuanian GPS Speed Challenge 2012” race organised by windsurfing club „Vejas galvoje“ ir “Facebook” group „Winder.lt“
This is the 3d year for this type of race, which runs from 1st of May 2012 to the 1stof November 2012.
Speed results for the event will be measured by the "Average of the 5 Fastest Ten Second Runs". The speed measurement can be taken by anyone on any waters in the territory of Lithuania. The “Lithuanian GPS Speed Chalenge 2012” follows the rules set out by the www.gps-speedsurfing.com. The event is also recognized and approved by the www.gps-speedsurfing.com. ??This event is designed for sailors of all skill levels, from beginners to the most experienced windsurfers & kitesurfers. However, you have to be in it in order to win it. And its FREE!!! You can post your results as many times as you like all period long (2012.05.01-2012.11.01). We want you to participate as often as you can!
This event runs on a completely flexible schedule over a 6month period. You decide when you want to race. Shortly, you will need a valid GPS unit and a user account @ www.gps-speedsurfing.com for posting your results. ??We look forward to seeing you in waters of Lithuania in 2012!
The official GPS unit of the “Lithuanian GPS Speed Chalenge 2012” is the GT-11, GT-31 by LOCOSYS Technology. Garmin units such as the Foretrex 201 and Forerunner 201 are also acceptable.GPS units GT-31 are available for rental and sale. For more details contact gediminas@winder.lt
