- Medium speed race: 65 – 70 km/h score * 1,00

11. Average speed groups
In 2012 apart from the overall raking also a ranking with average speed groups will be made at the end of each period. A competitor will be placed in a given average speed group based on his/her standing average speed as shown in www.gps-speedsurfing.com. The standing average speed of a given competitor at the start of the first race a competitor takes part in, will be leading. Speed groups will be divided as follows: <40kmh/40 to 50kmh /50 to 60kmh/60 to 65kmh/65 to 70kmh/ 70 to 75kmh/ >75kmh. If a competitor betters his or her average personal best speed as shown in the www.gps-speedsurfing.comranking before the second period, the given competitor will be placed in another speed group during the second period. If a competitor didn’t post on www.gps-speedsurfing.combefore the start of the event the competitor may inform the race organization about his/her standing personal best.
12. NK
During the NK, the USM/NK final qualifiers will be regarded as Gold fleet and the rest of the USM competitors as Silver fleet. The gold fleet will fight for places one to ten and the race will count as Ultimate speed race. For more detailed information see the Dutch Speed Championship notice of race.
Remarks:
- A maximum of 2 light wind racing days per competitor, per racing day period will count for the overall ranking.
- A Light wind race racing day will count if at least 5 riders set a speed of 58 kilometers or higher.
- A Medium wind racing day will count if at least 5 riders set the required minimum speed for that given type of racing day and at least 10 riders set a minimum speed of 58 kilometers or higher.
- A High wind speed day will count if at least 1 rider set the required minimum speed for that given type of racing day and at least 10 riders set a minimum speed of 65 kilometers.
- An Ultimate speed day will count if at least 1 rider set the required minimum speed for that given type of racing day and at least 5 riders set a minimum speed of 70 kilometers.
- After 3 races one discard is allowed, after 5 races and every following second race there will be another discard. Every race day will count for the ranking and the result * the factor will be used for calculating the discards. Competitors not participating at a given racing day (DNS) will get maximum points: total number of competitors inscribed for the event + 1 * 1,50.
- The overall ranking will be based on all races and will take into account the discards. There will be extra prizes for the light wind class and the medium-ultimate class (with factor). Discard systems for light wind class and the medium-ultimate class are identical as for the overall ranking.
- When there is a tie after discards, the best results will be compared according to the low point scoring system rules (RRS Appendix A8.1 A8.2)
