Odyssey of speed - Exite Class

Yes what a day! Ended up with an pr with a wave sail!

Thought there would be way too much wind for speedsurfing ans had my 5.3 Ka Kaos (2006) as my biggest sail. At first this was somewhat smal, so I went for some jumping un the upwind legs. Later the wind picked up and I did 2 runs with 68.84 and 68.94 max on display to my delight. I was Surfing with John Tuijn from whom I borrowed an GPS. I tried surfing the same lines as him wich really helped.

Also Chris Schill was speedsurfing and I went to drink a beer ith him when at around 17.30 the wind let down. It came back in extra strength at around 18.15 so I went out again with an stupid overpowered sail. (Still the Kaos 5.3 wave sail). Did maybe 5-6 runs with 1 with good wind (still a small dip) al down the speedcourse. For me a personal best in 2-sec max.

big respect for Eric

Over 72 km/h with a wave sail and wave-slalom board from 1998

I had still some pain because off the bruised rib,the ibubrufen was helping a lot,so I could go windsurfing

I made a big wipe out with 6.3 in force 8-9 ,maibe 10 in the gust

dent in sail, even more pain in my rib

and all my guts and plans were gone to rig 5.6 and going fot 80+ km/h

Eric was just going for it, good to see a big smile on his face

big respect
