I arrived to find guys on 4-5m sails and so I decided to head out on the trusty 6.1 M1 and the F2 SX S as it was meant to moderate in the late afternoon.  It wasn't too bad in the westerly chop but by the time I had sorted out my harness lines it dropped off a bit and was starting to get some big holes.  I wasn't having much fun trying to float 110Kg on a 90L board so I went back to change up and do some fin testing.

I could see Stash setting up his BBQ however I haven't had many days to test and I was going a little crazy wondering how my new layups would perform.  I changed to the 7m on the CA103 and took out the backpack with a few 40cm Darksabre prototypes. I plugged the soft proto in first and really enjoyed the excitement of putting it through its paces in tricky conditions.  It was delivering a nice constant rail pressure in both the lulls and gusts and was keeping a nice trim in the tricky conditions. I had one nice gust for the peak speed and that was it for the session as the wind was fading. It was great to catch up with everyone again and hopefully we will be enjoying some seabreezes sooner rather than later!
