ochtend race, Race nr 4

Light at the start first and second marks well powered at the end

Low wind race. Maar wel meer controle. Hopelijk tijdens de laatste race goeie start. 

Defi race 4. Underpowered on the first reach, no planing at all, took me more than 30 minutes to get to the first mark. 2nd and 3rd reach were ok,    4th reach strong gusts, wind blew one of my lenses out of my eye but still made it to the finish line. 

Tja wat moeten we hier van zeggen.

Last race pushing for some speeds as the ranking was bad.... fun anyway!!

After the two Defi races today where done I did had a go. 7,0 was a bit to big with the 72:)

Race 4 van de defi. Vergeten in race 5 de gps aan te zetten. Top evenement dit:)

Overall 55th at the moment.

Efficiënt  day on the water.

Probably the last day of the DEFI, because the forecast for tomorrow is not very promising.

The wind went up and down today. During the first race I was on 5.4 couldn't plane over the start line so had a late start. Finished 75th

Second race was really good. I had a great start and was number 16 at the first mark. After the jibe the wind shifted and I couldn't make it that much upwind to the second mark. Only the foilers were able to sail that much upwind. End of the race for me. Competed the course, but got disqualified cause I didn't jibed around the mark.

It was an epic week and I am super happy with some of the results. It was great to surf between the best windsurfers of the world.

Defi 2022 race #5

Voor het eerst met de Powermax 28 in de Defi omstandigheden gevaren, en wat een super vin! Grip, snelheid en controle in de rommelige chop die je krijgt als je met 1000 surfers bij elkaar bent. Top vin van Tribal! Omdat ik alle twee de keren de boei en finisch lijn upwind richting Gruissan in 1 keer kon halen een mooie 174 plaats in deze race gehaald.

Voor het eerst met de Powermax 28 in de Defi omstandigheden gevaren, en wat een super vin! Grip, snelheid en controle in de rommelige chop die je krijgt als je met 1000 surfers bij elkaar bent. Top vin van Tribal! Omdat ik alle twee de keren de boei en finisch lijn upwind richting Gruissan in 1 keer kon halen een mooie 174 plaats in deze race gehaald.

Race N°5 defi wind

Morning run on saturday with horrable wind conditions on the start and first jibing boe. The rest of the course was really great with 5.8

Last run on Defi 2022, saturday afternoon. I decided to go with the bigger board and fin and it was the perfect decision due to shifting winds. Could make all reaches easy and finaly make the best result of the week. But still to improve in the start to start earlier and run more in free wind and water...

But finally it was a good decision to go and make 4 of 5 runs in this hard conditions. Thanks to Philipe Brue for this great event!
