Launched from the Highland Club, Fort Augustus. The wind is offshore here in a prevailing wind. The first wind band is 25 m from the shore and it's usually another 50-75m until you really hit the main wind.
Even though the wind is westerly at this section of Loch Ness the wind swings around a lot round the mountains.
This section of the Loch is ideal for a Formula Board. It would really be imposssible to sail a small slalom board here unless Northerly in the wind.
