Defi race 3

2nd Defi race. Finished ! Goal achieved !

2nd day of DEFI wind. 

First race was good. I finished 22nd.

Second race was a nightmare. I tried to start at the pin, was perfectly lined up, but in the last 10 seconds I saw that I was aiming for the wrong buoy. The crew moved the buoy from the finish line a bit more away from the shore during the start, so that it would be less confusing which line the starting line is. And than when everyone is over the start they move the buoy back. Well, that made it only more confusing.

I was already too far downwind and couldn't make it anymore to the startline. Decided to stop inmediately, cause it would have been a waste of energy. After 4 races we have a discard, so no worries I'll come back stronger than ever tomorrow.

Defi race 3

Race 1 defi vrijdag. Dat was flink afzien. 

Race 3, ging super goed, dit was heerlijk surfen!!

Race 2 defi vrjjdag. Ging een stuk beter. Kwam met 5.0 niet van de startlijn. Wel echt kunen racen

Second race of the event 65, third race 74.

Last one was a tricky one. During the skippers meeting it was announced that the finish line was supposed to be put in place after the start, however the finish bouy was already on stand by 100 meters downwind from the pin end.

Same shape and colour and if you come from 2 km away it's easily mistaken. Only noticed that I sailed to the wrong buoy 25 seconds before the start which was costing me dearly in the beginning. 118 at the first mark so overtook 44 fellow competitors.

Floris was downwind from me so he could not make pin end unfortunately.

Two more races tomorrow, let's go!
