Fun day on the old 7 metre north with Dan and Miranda.  Was light wind to start with but got windier towards the end was very east so had chop and rolling waves down the course getting into the top of the course was a battle and could have done much faster 10s if I concentrated on the bottom end of the course.  Anyway a new pb and a lot of fun thanks mike for the awesome kit.

Scary day on the lake but thats why do this right???

Did a couple of runs on the 6.2 then changed to the 5.1 as it was getting windy and boy did it get windy I started sailing the 1.5k upwind to the course and got blown off backwards after about 500m. I walked the rest when I could walk with sheets of water coming off everywhere.  When the wind settled down after an hour I went down the run only to find that the high wind had removed around 300mm of water and I couldn't get close to the bar!!  Did a couple of hairy runs in bad chop 20m off the bar and managed to get ba pb 500m which was good.  Then the wind died too much to go fast and the water came back in.  Fun day with valuable lesson.... when its forecast to be windy be ready with the gear thats going to get you going fastest before the water blows away.
