Not a comfortable day's sailing, struggled with set-up and didn't get any good speed.
Cousre broad but sailable and felt no power in the sail. the Max speeds were to later part of the runs

| Very short 45 minute session for me, only got 7 or 8 runs in. Had to take my son for dentist appointment. Turns out my wife got the dates wrong as his dental appointment is for next friday, grrrrr. Loads of speedies turn out today. Course was gusty and broad and fairly lumpy in places. I started out on the iS44 and 5.8m, got a couple of runs but I was way way underpowered. I needed to be on a 6.3m but didnt have time to re-rig. I opted to go with the bigger iS53 instead. This was slightly faster, but I was to well under powered. If I had more time, I think today could have been a decent day.

| yet more PBs,another great day,just needed another 5/10 knots to be fully lit. Falcon speed felt really quick with the 5.8. Back in the month top 10 just.

What a "fabtastic" day at West Kirby for British Speedsailing. Well done to all who made the trip up. Great to touchbase with old and new friends. Has to be one of the best days at west kirby for ages despite the turbulent lack lustre wind over the wall and at times epic chop.
I have to commend Norman he sailed all day with strength and go for it attitude of someone half his age and a thoroughly well earned bag of peebees to show Pete on your return home.
I'm really chuffed for all of you who hit Pb's today - well done! Made my Day

Hardest 40kt session to date!
Had a great blast with Alex 'til late on - good work mate!
Sailed from just before high tide @ 11:30 til 6:30
No breach of wall on 8.9m
Spent some of the morning trying to analyse/understand the poor windflow over the refurbed wall and excessive rolling chop.
The windflow improved as the tide filled up to the top of the boulder barrage on the outer face, the rolling chop also subsided.
Congrats to Ian - edging past me in the rankings. top sesh matey!
Well done to all for your Peebees. a great day for UK Soeedsailing.

awesome day, me an howard last men standing at 7pm would of gone longer but was getting seriously dangerous with the free riders gybing on the wall and not looking...i just made a 1.5m gap between one and the wall i was slowing down but still went through at 34kts....not funny.
all pb's smashed again..little gutted i couldnt find 0.1knot to join the 40 crew but hey.

WK Pt. 1 - 2.5 hours on small slalom kit - 22 runs
My first trip to West Kirby. Up at 5am, left home before 6am and arrived at WK shortly after 9am. I took out my small slalom gear and started breaking my PBs from the very first run. Over half the runs showed peaks of 35.x/36.x knots and 10s averages of 34.x/35.x knots. Pretty much every speed category ended up with a 35.x or 36.x which is a definite improvement.
By the end of the session I had broken my PBs in all speed categories up to 500m. Amongst other things, I added 2 knots to my peak speed, 3 knots to 5x10s and 3.5 knots to 500m.
I was particularly pleased with the 500m result of 35.1 knots because a large portion of it was through the chop that is now a feature of WK. It is still much flatter than Brogborough though!

WK Pt. 2 - 1 hour on speed kit - 6 runs
After lunch, one of the local guys was kind enough to let me try his F2 Missile XS. I've never sailed a proper speed board before so I was quite surprised how easy it was to sail. During the second run I improved on my morning results and peaked at 37.5 knots. My new peak speed felt much closer to 40 knots than my old record of 34.1 knots and given more wind, I am sure that I could have gone even faster.
I did a total of 4 runs on the Missile before handing it back so the session was completed by 2 runs on my slalom board (one of them contributing the slowest speed in the 5x10s - everything else was on the Missile).
All in all it was a fantastic day. The spot is great (despite the unexpected chop), everyone is incredibly friendly and the sun was shining! I have improved everything from my peak speed to 500m and 5x10s average, all of which are now about 4 knots higher than before.
Thanks to everyone who made me feel welcome at WK. I will definitely return and I am looking forward to my next trip!

| 1st day back after 5 weeks out from injury in Karpathos World Cup. Bit disapointed if I was a bit fitter I think I could have gone faster. But great to be back at West Kirby, now back open.

First time on the Pro Kids Sonic which my T15 club won at the Champions
Cup last year. Its well fast but not as scary as my old Thommen II.
I have edited out the 37.1knots from the 2 second since it was likely to be a spike.

Arrived a little bit later than I wanted too. Fairly square course, got some good runs in on the salmon kit. I thought my best speed were as a bore of the wind, however, looking at the tracks on the computer, the fastest sections were when I was running parallel to the wall.
Nice to see Crossie out.
