A day to forget fast....
When I arrived at Horst I noticed that I had forgotten my GPS. Luckily, I could borrow a GPS from Willem-Jan Heutink. Thanks for that Willem-Jan. Than after my first run I saw that in the middle of my cross-batten there was a strange "nick".  Decided to continue with it and to see how long it will last. After one and a half  hour the batten was completely broken and I lost all stability in the sail so time to go back and change sail. Then when rigging my 5.5 I saw that one of the panels started to tear just at the connection with the batten pocket. Repaired it with some duck-tape but it did not last and after 5 runs the tear was a 30 cm ..... so end of the session for me.
