Much more wind than anticipated. First rigged the 6.6 but way to big.
I stayed almost until the end on the wrong place for speed as it was really choppy. But I loved it there with the enormous gusts and the exocet RS58 behaved really well and flew over the chop like some maniac fsw/slalom combi :-). Had some really good runs considering the chop and had almost 70kmh on the watch. So I could not bring myself to switching to the flatter spot :-).
On the end I joined the others guys on the flatter spot for more speed, but the wind was dying out and my 5.8 a bit on the small site over there. But no regrets, it was an amazing day!!!
Really happy I bought the Exocet, 80 liters but planes very fast. I do not know if this is really the best fin size for the board. I also tried a 28cm fin but that was not faster. Also sailed the i99-89 but it did not improve speeds and just got me flying even more bouncy over the chop. I am convinced 70+ on the exocet in better conditions will be no problem.
