A first sail on the new pre production Tribal. It's clear the concept works and hardly anything needs to change. The sail is extremely easy to control. I was too late for the big winds in the morning hence I need more tests, but for the wind I had I can only say that the sail is very promising. What immediately stands out is the feeling as if the sail slices the wind. Cross and upwind speed were both a dream. For downwind the size simply was too small most of the time, yet in two slightly powered runs I could feel the potential. This will be fun. Edit...I sailed 50/50 on the Tribal 88 and my trusted Falcon 80 as I wanted to objectively test the sail and feel the differences with the ones I am familiar with.
