Enjoyable session, not perfect angle or that windy but good to get some runs in. Took some bits out of fin hitting the bottom RIGHT in front of the camreaman, may be a hilarious result...
Thanks to Bob for advising me to head for the southern bank, which proved a few knots faster thanks to more wind, distance and angle but not as smooth. Not a steep bank so impossible to hug it close like the northern one. Definitely the best speed spot close to home and I was able to manage a session in the waves on the way back.
Plenty of sailors out - great to see and sure I'll be back for more soon. The northern bank in a raging westerly may well deliver epic speeds over 250m.
ADD.... Well done to everyone, especially Marie who broke 30kts for the first time, a successful first outing for my new 5.8! Hope to upload her session tomorrow. May try southern bank again Thursday in the strong southerly that's forecast.
