Thanks to Simon for Organising a mini USM.
This place is great fun to sail, the wind has to come over a lot of land so even though the forecast was good, the wind on both courses was never really much above 20knots.
My mast snapped on rigging so couldn't use the 7m so started with 5.8. Underpowered a lot of the time with some slogging at times
Started on top course, not really enough for alpha racing, but this course is mirror flat, and I think on a proper galeforce it could be great. Good to see so many people out going for it though!!!

Ventured down to the lower course to sail for the majority of the session with Paul, Jim and Bob. It was a bit windier here but more choppy and quite gusty, best speeds by all of us were done by bearing off into the chop. Tectonics solid as usual. There are a couple of nasty submerged hazards too, but we all managed to avoid 'em. Looks like Bob won but everyone got some good speeds so looking forward to next time.... Here's to a windy 2009...
