F2 Zantos 295 with 36 fin and Tushingham Thunderbird 6.5m.

The wind Gods just keep on giving as the run of north easterlies continuing with more wind today it was back to the River Stour at Wrabness for the second day running, I was tempted by The Dip at Felixstowe but hope to go there tomorrow:) We wind soon increased to 20 knots but with high tide today at 3.13 I had time to do my exercises in the garden, better day too with more sunshine:) Mag came once again, see is a star leaving Felixstowe a little late today at 11 o clock, I took my trailer today as I thought I would need some smaller sails and a fin board and parked easily once again. I had no plans for today after yesterdays epic 48 mile foil so on arriving I set up my foil but the tide was still fairly low and there was a good breeze blowing down the river so I decided to try my F2 Zantos 295 taking a chance with 6.5 which proved ideal for most of the session with this being only the second time this month I have used a fin board:) I set off in a bit of wind shadow at 12.30 but soon hit the wind line and was up and planning across the river, I was going to have an hour or so on the fin but was having so much fun going fast with some top gybing too and for the second day running sailed over 40 miles, that’s 90 now in day days with more tomorrow! As it was wind with tide, I tried to stay near the launch beach but as the session progressed and the wind increased, I got braver and ended up at Bradfield where there wee a few wingers, foilers and fin sailors out and actually got my fastest speed here, nearly 28 knots with a nice average, alpha and mile, in fact I had a good set of fast gybes considering it was a little choppy! I was a little nervous about beating back but made it easy enough coming ashore with Mag sitting on the beach enjoying the view and checking to see if I was still alive as I had been out well over three hours again. Had a nice chat on the lovely little beach before packing up my foil and heading back to the van for a late lunch as it was now gone four!

So two great sessions on the beautiful Stour, August has been a top month with 12 sessions covering the grand total of 692 km (430 miles) :)
