HAHA Onno, you should know better. Do NOT listen to me when I'm at the water and I'm talking about the windspeed. I always tend to see the sunny side. Check again with someone else. But still it was a nice day...and you did well, you're improving...a lot! So no harm done?

Hans had his magic run and was really stoked to break the 70 kilometre barrier. Congratulations Hans. Now try to think waht happened and make a mental picture of that run. You told me you were being lifted by the first gust, this probably means you let the board free (unintentionally). The wind eased a bit and then you could really "sit" into it. This is exactly what you should do if you want the board to acellerate into a gust.

Ron van den Berg brought my new canal board; the magic bullet. Even lighter riders were on 6,2 to 6,7 sailsizes and said they were never overpowered. I could start the board without any problem in the gusts with my 5.0. It was good for a little playing around but of course the windspeed wasn't sufficient for this board. I had some nice runs with Monster and the new stealth and afterwards I did some testing for the canal. It was funny to see that the speeds with my biggest speedboard (48cm wide) were just as fast as with Monster, but the speeds on Monster were far more consistent.

A nice day but not what we all hoped for. we still are waiting for the first real gales to come in. horst is getting choppy again so it seems. I think we need W or even better SW to have really flat water and a lot of personal bests. Lets hope the USM can start very soon before its getting too choppy for really fast speeds.
