Happy with every drop of wind after the windless period. I perfomed some tests for Marco van der Leer and later-on I went out on the new 2022 KA Race 6.3.
The sail is remarkably stable and lets the board glide super easy at a perfect planing angle. The 2022 model has got some more draft depth down low and is best to be rigged on a topflex mast. I loved the 430 RDM which I could borrow from John Overmeer. Thanks for that. I was really surprised by the speeds as I set four out of five in the dying wind while using the trusted Falcon Speed which was pretty small for the conditions. The sail has got a supernice forard pull downwind with great accelleration potential.
It will be interesting to see what happens if the wind gets to be a little stronger. With a bit of luck tomorrow could be the next try. It's so much fun to notice two completely different concepts: S2 and KA both work perfectly while the feel is totally different. I really love both concepts and one of my aims for 2022 is to test more brands, that is...if we get a bit more wind than this damtic wind year. Anyhow, we were lucky to get some wind in before the years ending so no complaints :-).
