Another late and lonely session at Yamba, NSW, AU. I thought it was gusty yesterday but man it was shockingly gusty tonight! Literally sinking and almost falling backwards one second then mini tornado the next! It was doing that thing where there was no wind at the carpark end of the run too. I dredged over on the 122 until I hit the crazy gusts. Got a 36(122 PB), on my first run and came back to change down boards. Should have been on the 90 but the dredge for the first half of the run and the strong outgoing tide made the 114 my only option. I managed to get one awesome gust for the 39, it was at the end of the bank and out into the chop. Woohoo what a buzz! So happy!!  I tried and tried but couldn't line up a better gust or nail a good alpha. Awesome sail though, one I won't forget. I couldn't select the proper fin but I used a Chris Lockwood CL 2 34cm Carbon fin this day on the 114.
