I had the chance of testing this Manta 61 2015 because to my surprise, Sergio, the guy in charge of Ventura Surf (Corralejo), offered it to me. He told me he wants to sell that board, and I accepted without any conditions tu buying it afterwards. ( That is not very usual by this part of the world ).

As I said in my previous file from that day, the conditions were really demanding for this kind of boards. The surface very rough specially crossing from Corralejo to Lobos island. We call this track "El Rio" (The River). Big sea, broken waves, quite gusty and maximum speed and acceleration are not very recommended combination but give you an idea   Of the board possibilities. 

In my opinion Manta 61 is, in comparison to RRD XFire 98, a much more technical board; more focus demanding in rough conditions. Acceleration is very similar and max speed also but jibing RRD is easier and in general also easier to control it. 

Maybe for a lighter racer Manta could be better and for a guy not so light RRD is better, having both boards the same 98 liters of volume.

So, I preffer the RRD
