After yesterdays 5 star session and it was down to Earth with a bump today :( With the wind sse today a bit more side shore so you could chose between The Dip and The Manor and I joined Neil and Craig Hurrell where I sailed yesterday at The Manor. They were both out with 5.7 and 6m with Andy Marshall rigging a 5m but it didn't look windy enough for my 5.6 so went with my 6.5. I tried my 100 lt cross for the first run which wasn't great as the wind was up and down and it wasn't easy getting off the beach as there was a large shorebreak:( also the sea was a mess although there was some ok swells towards the pier. Going fast was a non starterin the big sea and sailing underpowdered on a small board is just knackering for me and aftersailing three days in a row I was tired :( Craig tried 2/3 boards before finding the right combination while got it right with an old 100lt Mistal Screamer and 5.7, I had a few runs with my 133 which was better and after one ok run to TheFludgers I called it a day. Wave sailing on smaller kit is not for me, I am more of a slalom sailer and just need to go fast! perhaps I should persevere with smaller kit and enjoy the swells? Had a look at The Dip and the sea looked loads better towards the River Deben but there was only a couple of windsurfers out  but they looked way underpowdered, theonly one really making the most of the conditions was a kitesurfer out on a surfboard really working the waves - thats the way to go for sure!
