Second time at Sandy and second time spanked...

First time ended with a holed sail and cracked board...

This time just starting to come to grips with the conditions when started to tail walk at around 33 knots - lost it and went over the front - ripping my boom head apart. You know somethings happened when your still connected to your harness lines and your at the top of the mast. Was probably only 5 metres from the bank - might as well been 100. Decided the east bank was the place to be and sat and my board a drifted. Was OK until a big seal came up next to me and scared me S@#tless. Eventually mananged to jurty rigg the boom back together with some spare cord and my uphaul and managed to ,gingerly!!, sail back to shore - Thanks to Cam for coming across to see if I was Ok.

3rd time to sandy point will be in nice conditions (under 25-35 knots) to get the confidence back but still had great trip with the Geelong crew.
