Today was really a suprise. Didn't even notice the wind 'till after school, and got stoked right away. Went to the water and rigged 8.5 Lightning. Setup (after a few returns) was as followed:

Extender 16 cm. (and 490 mast)
Downhaul until +/- 0.5 cm. left
Boom length 224 cm.
Outhaul until +/- 1 cm. left

And I have to admit: it was perfect. Sail felt like heaven, planed early and had control even in the 20 knot-gusts. Had to get used to the fact that shoes aren't a luxury anymore, getting in and out of the straps was a big bummer sometimes, but the steamer kept me warm!

Anyway, wind was strong when I started, but weakened during the afternoon. At the end I got to know the board and it was heavenly, with the sun on my face and the wind direction made it possible to go to the other end of the lake.

Just perfect!
